Salvatorians are members of the Society of the Divine Savior (Latin: Societas Divini Salvatoris), a Roman Catholic religious order founded by Father Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan in Rome on December 8 1881. As of April 2005 the Society of the Divine Savior counted 1177 members and worked in 33 countries around the world. Salvatorians use the post-nominal letters "S.D.S."They are located in Australia in Perth and Sydney. As of 2006 they have been a religious order for 125 years.
They should not be confused with the Basilian Salvatorian Order, which is a Melkite Catholic religious community named for its mother-house, Holy Saviour (Deir Mukhalles in Arabic), and also maintains a center in Methuen, Massachussetts.
